Introduction
The “Mechanical Engineering” in UG and Energy Systems and Management” in PG are the two branches with intake of 120 and 24. We have well established academic activity in place to cater the need of Industry. We are capable to train the young UG and PG students in the way the Industry and society need. We have highest quality in teaching our students. We provide Curricular, extracurricular activity based teaching. We have more than ten labs exclusively for UG students. We use all available recent technology to teach our students. We also encourage collaborative and participative teaching methods. To encourage our students for recent trends in technology we have MOUs, Collaborations, student associations activities.
We do encourage the National and International activities for our students in Automobile Engineering through BAJA, Robotics etc.

Vision & Mission
Vision
To impart knowledge to our students to be prominent in Mechanical Engineering culture, research and nurture them to become ethically rich professionals for serving the society.
Mission
1. To produce trained professionals with technical and managerial skills by providing the facilities and conducive environment, well grounding the students in the fundamental principles of engineering and preparing them for diverse careers.
2. To develop students in to competent mechanical engineers with competency in basic sciences and skills for abstract thinking.
3. To expose mechanical engineering students to the latest trends in manufacturing and design of mechanical systems along with being able to focus on interdisciplinary issues.
Program Specific Outcomes
PSO 1
Specification, fabrication, test, operate, and documentation of basic mechanical systems or processes.
PSO 2
Analysis, design, development, implementation of more advanced mechanical systems or processes.
Programme Educational Objectives
1. The graduates will attain core competence in basic sciences and mechanical engineering fundamentals needed to formulate and solve engineering problems and to pursue advanced study or research.
2. The graduates will be ready for successful careers in industry that meet the needs of various companies.
3. The graduates will have an ethical and professional attitude, effective communication skills, leadership qualities and dedication to social responsibilities in the students thought process.
4. The graduates shall possess the ability to identify and address the societal needs and meaningfully contribute their technical knowledge and skill.
Faculty
Dr. Rajashekar Sardagi
(HOD)
Foreword: It gives me immense honour to serve as Head of Mechanical Engineering Department. We have BE in Mechanical engineering with intake capacity 120. We also have M.E in Energy systems with intake capacity 24. We impart mechanical engineering to the students who have rural background. We groom them to become entrepreneur and contribute for start-up India and make in India initiating of government of India. Our dedicated and senior faculty impart highest quality education under the University of Mumbai. We also motivate our students in extracurricular activity such as BAJA, Robotics.
Our quality standards are second to none. We educate our students to be ready to take any challenges to build a new India. Our campus is 10 acres having most modern sports gymnasium and sports ground, hence we developed sportsmanship spirit among students. Encourage our girls students to participate in extracurricular and co-curricular activities.

Student Association
Mechanical Engineering Students Association (MESA) is an organization which comprises of students of Mechanical Engineering Program was established in the year 2010. The MESA was form to bring about the technical development of students by various activities and also motivate to the students to participate in Co-curricular Activities and extracurricular activities along with their regular academic session.
Objective: The objective of MESA is to promote an environment for the interaction between Mechanical Engineering students and with other relevant parties. MESA shall engage in activities related to social, academic, and professional interests. MESA is the undergraduate students group of the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
